After the attack.. life is just never the same.
Probably for the better.
Now, I am more aware of actions around me. Much more.
Everytime there is a sudden movement near me, my guard is automatically up. I always look over my shoulder when I hear someone walking behind me.
I've changed where to dump my car in the morning. Different spot, but still not too far from the old one. This new spot requires much shorter walk, although very dark in that soi.
Tonight, when I was on my way back from the pub, I was walking around Victory Monument. It's about 10:30PM. There were still lots of people there. And then, I noticed four Thai men in uniforms. I can't tell which department. But they're in uniforms. One of them turned to stare at me first. And then the rest did the same. So, now I had four men staring at me. They did scare the shit out of me.
Then, when I was at the top of the soi where I parked my car, I checked it out and it was pitch black in that soi. So, I was standing on the main road searching for my car keys. All that time, there was a taxi parking and waiting to see if I was going to hop on (I think). When I found my keys, I started walking quickly down the soi to get my car - looking over my shoulder all the time. There was a tiny apartment on the way. There were a couple of people watching TV at the entrance. And I rushed to my car. Got in and locked the door.
Once I was safe in my car, I noticed there was a taxi coming in. The taxi came in to open area where I parked my car. He turned his car and got out of the soi.
That's odd.
There was totally nothing in that soi. Just a space where people could dump their cars. (There was a restaurant there before, but it's gone now)
So, I started my car and followed the taxi out of the soi. There was still nothing. There were no signs of him dropping any passengers off. Those people that were watching TV were still in the same spots. And it's a very short soi. He just drove in and turned his car and drove out?
Yet another scary trip back home!!!
