My Oh My

Last Thursday was pretty rough!

I went shopping after work since I needed a new dress for the wedding on Friday. So I did. And I went down the pub to meet a few friends. It was pretty fun. Had a chat with the girls. Chatted with another, errm, American guy since Lee introduced me to him. And I was drinking quite fast.

Added two shots of Tequila.

After the pub, I was walking down the street to get a cab, and ran into two of the girls. They were going to another bar. God knows what came over me so I went with them. Had some more frozen Margaritas. And my memory was a bit of a blur after that.

I remember I was feeling really sick. So, I decided to go home. The feeling was so terrible I had to ring my friend, Rose. And then, I realised I left my bloody shopping bag at the bar! Apparently, I tried to call another girl friend who was still there (I have no recollection of this whatsoever, but Rose told me that's what I said before hanging up). And apparently, my battery went dead.

I managed to get myself back to the apartment. God knows how. I remember my cabbie took just 60% of the fare since he didn't have changes and that's all I got in small notes - and he wanted me out of his cab quick since it was obvious I was not in a good condition.

Let's just say it was a torture that night.

The next day, I got up around 11:30 AM and went back to the bar to find my bag, but to no avail. So, I came to the office. Charged the battery and found one voice message with no one talking. Gotta be one of the girls!

To make a long story short, it turned out to be the guy we met at the bar. And he had my shopping bag. Yippeeeeeeeeee!!!!! All the stuff in my bag was worth nearly 9,000 THB. Ahhh.... nice feeling.

So, I didn't have to go shopping again for a new dress.

It took me hours to feel better with the hangover. And I went to the wedding in the evening with Mum. A very nice, lovely and intimate reception. They are so perfect together. I'm really happy for them. :)

My friend will be moving to the UK later this month. All the best, Oom and Patrick!!
