You gotta love this place

This office building is great... not!

Our landlord has increased the rent late last year. Then, they have changed the management company (their name shall bloody well be withheld). And the quality of the service has gone downhill since.

Long wait for elevators (there are two embassies in this building). Electricity was out on a few occasions - for hours each. Elevetors are out of service.

Yesterday, when I came to work in the (sort of) morning, one out of three elevators was out of order... again. They were working on it. In the meantime, there were a million people in the lobby waiting for the elevators. 85% of those came to apply for visas on top floor. Three turns and I got in. Oh, and I saw a Viking I met in the pub two weeks ago there. It turned out he worked for one of the embassies here.

Around 5pm, the office maid heard an announcement (on PA in the toilet which is right next to my office - yes, PA in toilets and somewhere in front of the elevators only) that now all three elevators were fooked, so please use the stairs.

My office is on 18th floor. Those poor Scandinavian people are on 20th floor.

So, I couldn't stay late to work. I had to walk down the stairs with boss and colleagues right after work.

I felt totally lost out there. The sun was still there.. somewhere. I didn't know what to do. Thank God Rose went to the pub early, so I went there to see her for a bit. Then, she had to go elsewhere. I decided to get my video rental membership card sorted, had dinner, and woohoo! I got a text from Andrew that he was in another pub with his cousin.

So, I met him there. Had a relatively good night out - it's just that I've been a bit sad and lonely. Then, I noticed that Viking was in the pub again! I didn't say anything. Until he started talking to me.

Apparently he didn't remember we had chatted before. So, started afresh. I asked him if he worked for the embassy. He paused for a good few seconds. Surprised how on earth I knew that. Chatted with him for a bit. This time round was better than the first time we had chatted. :D

It's actually nice to go out meet people who don't always say or do stuff just hoping to get into your pants.
