A Thai girl I know through work rang yesterday. Apparently, a guy from Iceland wanted to meet up with my boss to discuss business. So, she put the guy on the phone with me.
Me: "Hello?"
Client: "Hello"
Me (thinking familiar accent he had): "So, would you be able to come to our office tomorrow at 2:30pm?"
Client: "2:30? That's beautiful"
Me (thinking someone I knew used to say THAT!): "OK, we'll see you at 2:30pm tomorrow then"
Client: "Do you know my name yet?"
Me (thinking "Good question"): "Errm, no, may I have your name please?"
Client: "My name is Paddy"
Me: ".............................................................................."
The Thai girl: "Hello? Khun Kay, his name is Khun Paddy"
Me (trying very hard NOT to laugh): ".......................... errr........... okay"
