Of course, I'm a good girl

I went to a (Buddhist) temple with my family today. Got to meet lots of my family members (from my Dad's side) there. It's our annual ceremony to pass on good deeds to my grandparents who passed away years ago.

We went to The Marble Temple -
Wat Benchamabopit Dusitwanaram.

This time, it was a bit different from previous years. Usually, we got the same old corner with fresh air. Today, we got an air-conditioned room in the back.

While we were enjoying eating (Ofcourse, we were. We're Thai!), a white man walked into our room asking for water. At first, he asked from my cousins but they didn't speak English. I did speak English, but I didn't expect anyone to walk in and ask for water, really.

So, when I told him I would get him some, he followed me saying he saw where the water was. I had to tell him it was a private ceremony. And he was shocked. I'm sure he's really embarrassed. So he walked back to the door and waited for me there.

I came back with two bottles of water. And he started apologising, saying he's sorry he didn't know. Oh, big deal, young fella. He thanked me for the water and left.

One of my cousins has just had a baby. Hmm.. now I'm not very sure if I want babies.

Mark is now back in the North. Bloody old man needs to make it up to me. So, maybe we'll go to Chiang Mai for the weekend when he can sort out his schedule. But not anytime soon, I guess. Looks like he'll be back in Bangkok round end of this month.

Just in time for my birthday then.
