Good Lord...

Work has been mad.

One of our clients dismissed two staff due to breach of contract, and asked us if we could get them new staff.

That was sorted out quick because the client have identified enough candidates to be on bakcup list. Everyone wants to go work for this property. They treat Thai staff so very well.

It turned out, the dismissed two girls were from the very first lot that went there. It's a shame really. Two years!! Good wages, good environment, etc. And they got greedy. Oh well, I guess it's a good opportunity for the next two girls.

Another project in England is now also under control. Boss reviewed all candidates' files with me yesterday. He was very happy with who I came up with. I've got pretty good candidates this time. No desperation detected like some time ago. Hahaha.

So, I'm basically okay on those two projects. I can move forward to sorting two other projects out.

Damn, it can get quiet sometimes in this field. But when they come back to us, they all come at once!

But that means money. So, we're not really complaining.

I've also been trying to organise a staff party (almost two years now). We're looking at somewhere outside of Bangkok. I've suggested a weekend, and we get away for a bit. Boss asked me yesterday why weekend. These are my exact words to the boss.

"Because I don't want to take up working hours."

Holy shit, you should have seen his reaction to my statement. He's almost crying from laughter.

Ok, I mean, I may come to work late. Sometimes, as late as 11AM, but I work long hours!

Dammit, some people. :-D

On the pub side, I've been going out... a lot.

My mate, Yorky the old chap, came down to Bangkok from Surin. So, I met up with him and his girlfriend for "a few drinks".

Very very funny old man he is. He takes the piss outa me. I take the piss outa him. We always have a good laugh.

His girlfriend is such a sweetheart also. Very lovely friendly young girl. I've met her quite a few times. And we always get on well. Yorky once (or twice) told me that his girlfriend knew that middle-aged women could only be friends.

Bastid!!
