I thought it was football?

And not bloody synchronised diving!!!!

I went to watch the game in the pub as usual. With lots of England supporters in the house. Some time into the game, and the pub never got any busier. I learned from a friend later that the pub front door was locked for security reason.

I swear this is Bangkok.

Having the Argie referee was ....... bollox.

The Portugese were playing synchronised diving in the pitch, and not even one warning. Some other moments, they were acting as if they were competing for Academy Awards, and, of course, not even one warning. No foul. No yellow card. No nothing.

Bad enough for 11 Englishmen to play against 12 tossers. Then, we were down to 10.

Rooney's red card will be argued over for quite some time to come. The truth has to be taken into consideration that Rooney had two divers on his back. And he was trying to free himself from them, with the ball in possession. The stomping on one of the divers' groin was not intentional. The pushing was hardly a red. It was obvious to loads of people that, at first, the Argie called just a foul. Thanks to Ronaldo, and Rooney got a red. A straight red. And a wink from Ronaldo towards the divers' bench? That was a disgrace.

The infamous "wink"

Rooney is definitely easy to be baited. For that incident, a yellow, yes. But a red? Oh, I don't know.

Having Rooney all on his own was a huge mistake. A few of unnamed England players were useless. It was amazing to see how they kept passing the ball to one of the divers, instead of someone wearing a white shirt.

As for the penalty shoot out, it was pathetic, I have to say.

It was an unfair game (to me anyway), but we managed to make it through penalty shoot out with a biased Argie and having one man down the last 60 minutes.

Now that Eriksson is out. We will see if McClaren will coach the team with heart and passion.

It's a shame I didn't get to watch Brazil vs France. That's a very interesting result.

Bye Bye Errikson!!

Perhaps we can now get back to playing decent 4-4-2 football, ditch Beckham and use those two brilliant wingers we had out there (Downing and Lennon), maybe we can build on good young English strikers too, jusy why did he take Walcott and never use him?

Spot on.

England definitely have a few great players. Beckham should just persue his career in modelling or something. Bloody useless git.

The 4-1-4-1 Formula was a joke. That was probably another thing that helped build up Rooney's frustration.

Oh well, two more years to Euro 2008.
